today before it is all said and done. yesterday's highs, wisdom did not like, some 17 to 19 degrees cooler than they should be. and this morning, a chilly start. 45 at d.c. 41 at dulles and 41 at baltimore. the chill is on. it is typical fall weather. take a look to the west where we have a frost advisory and freeze warning. temperatures anywhere from 30 to 32 degrees in the frost advisory regions. temperatures, 33 to 36 degrees including allegheny to shenandoah, hardy, grant and mineral counties. protect any vegetation outside that is not protect in these kinds of conditions. this afternoon, we are locking at rain moving in. it will be sticking around into the course of the evening hours and possibly even lingering into a little bit of the overnight. today, we are talking a much cooler day across the area and

the details. good morning. >> we don't know exactly what time the controversial ads will go up except they are supposed to be up by court order by 5:00 this evening and they are expected to be particularly visible. one ad in just four stations that will be around the metro system and metro police say they are ready in case anyone decides to protest them. test t a new york woman was arrested for trying to spray paint over one the anti-jihad posters when it went up in a new york subway station. to some, the ads equate muslims with savages. >> i will continue to nonviolently protest hate and that is hate. >> reporter: pamela geller with the american freedom defense initiative won the right to hang posters which read, in any war between civilized man and the savage, support civilized man. support israel. defeat jihad. those same posters will be going up at four d.c. area metro stations before the close

your people to do this. this thing is going to cause drama. >> reporter: in court on thursday, the transit system's lawyers said that the words on the poster were what they called fighting words in the context of current events and the fine said it was investigating a promise of violence. if those posters did go up in washington, but we don't expect to have any major drama here. but it is one of those things you never know how people will react. the posters are supposed to get up here at u street. also at glenmont, georgia avenue and takoma park stations. >> hopefully, there won't be any problems. new this morning, another search is set today for a missing teenage ferreira northern virginia. friends, family and volunteers will be gathering at a park in fairfax this morning at 10:30. 17-year-oldbury appear glen was last seen dropping his younger

brother off at w. t. woodson high school last monday morning. police found his car about a mile and a half away. investigators are reviewing surveillance video from a nearby dunkin donuts. prince george's county police officer shot a suspect armed with a knife on 55th avenue in bladensburg. the man confronted an officer, ignored repeated orders to put the weapon down and then went after the officer. the officer was not injured. the suspect is expected to survive. 30-year-old mark ives was found dead outside a home early sunday in the 5400 block of broadmoor street. investigators believe he was assaulted by someone he knew. police are currently looking for that person. for that perso a few days after the first presidential debate, president obama joked with supporters in california over the weekend admitting he was not at his best in denver. the president also took time to

deaths. that pharmacy that distributed the steroid has issued a voluntary recall of all its products. mary ann rafferty has latest. >> reporter: a tainted steroid solution causing a deadly outbreak of meningitis has now claimed the lives of at least seven people. it is believed to have originated from the new england compounding center in massachusetts. the cdc says there are 91 confirmed cases of fungal meningitis. >> we are investigating an unusual outbreak of meningitis. >> reporter: more than 17,000 vials of the contaminated steroid have been shipped out to nearly 100 facilities in 23 states. despite the numbers, only a select portion of the population may be infected. >> if you've got any kind of steroid inject between july of this year and september 28th, you need to be aware of this. >> reporter: one indiana woman was informed the steroid injection she received may have been contaminated. now, she is nervously anticipating the outcome of her test results. >> i had a very severe headache that i couldn't even get up out of bed and it hasn't went way

yet. the worry from day to day like today. i mean it is just nerve wracking. >> reporter: meningitis is treatable if it is caught early. health experts say you should be on the lookout for warning signs. >> the symptoms that they're experiencing are those that we sometimes see in cases of meningitis such as fever, new or worsening headache, sometimes neck stiffness. we've also seen in a few patients signed and symptoms of stroke, sudden onset of slurred speech, dizziness, difficulty walking, sudden weakness, et cetera. >> reporter: treatment can take a few weeks to several months depending on the individual. the virus is not contagious. in new york, mary ann rafferty, fox news. kevin mccarthy sits down with the stars of the new animated movie, frankenweenie. >> looking forward to that. we'll be right back. ah.

for a missing teenager from northern virginia. 17-year-old brian glen was last seen dropping his younger brother off at w. t. woodson high school last monday morning. police found his car about a mile and a half away. friend and family and volunteers as well will search the park in fairfax beginning at 10:30 this morning. the big story this morning, a controversial ad that sparked concern in new york and d.c. is going up in several metro stations today. >> a federal judge made the ruling over the weekend. fox 5's melanie alnwick is live at the u street station in northwest with details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. on thursday, metro's lawyers told the judge that the fbi was investigating a promise of violence if those controversial ads went up in d.c. but the judge ordered that those ads go up by 5:00 this evening citing the first amendment. the ads paid for by the american freedom defense initiative say, quote, in any

war between civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. support israel. defeat jihad. many say they are offensive because they equate muslims with savages. citing concerns from the fbi, metro wanted to delay displaying the ads until the protests in the middle east over the innocence of muslims film subsided. the sponsor you'd to have them put up immediately and won and district attorney they have the use of the word savage. -- the sponsor sued to have them put up. >> any war on innocent civilians is savagery. the slaughter of the fogel family, a jewish family in their beds is savagery. >> reporter: the ads first and in 10 new york city subway stations and in san francisco. the ap reports there have been some defacing of the ads in new york and san francisco but few

in colorado, police have expanded their search for a missing 10-year-old girl. they say a backpack found in the ton of superior a few miles away from where she disappeared is likely linked to jessica ridgway. she was last seen friday as she walked to a park where she meets classmates before school. in the boston harbor, the coast guard says a dead whale was found floating in water there. the 50-foot fin back whale seen here was found early sunday morning. the cause of death is not yet known. a teen from the new england aquarium found bruising and pressure lines on the hand mal's body which could mean the whale had been wrapped in something before it died. it is liftoff of the 41st albuquerque international balloon fiesta in new mexico. nearly 500 hot air balloons

got it done in game one. it wasn't easy but who said it was. this is the key point of the game. ryan matthews is in a jam. bases juiced. five, four, flee double play. he got out of a no out bases loaded jam on two pitches. and then as it seems to happen, tile are moore, a rookie, drives in two and the nats go on to win 3-2 in st. louis. a very impressive comeback win late. now, again, nats had 98 wins in the regular season, most in baseball. but when you do this in the post-season and it is your first time ever in the post- season and you do it late in the eighth inning, pretty darned impressive. >> special. >> it is very special. and in baltimore, russell martin ruining the party. >> good last name.
